Yevhen Dobriak, Head of the Deputy Group on the Inter-Parliamentary Liaison with the Republic of Turkey, attended the meeting.
The Parties discussed development of bilateral relations and prospects of cooperation aimed at support of the inter-parliamentary dialogue between Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey.
The Parties debated the political situation in Ukraine and Turkey, prospects of Ukraine´s access to the EU, alleviation of visa regime between Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey, and other topical issues of Turkish-Ukrainian relations.
Mr Ahmet Bulent Merich stated that bilateral relations between Turkey and Ukraine could be developed till the level of strategic partnership. He also expressed his hopes for further cooperation.
Mr Oleh Bilorus called for development of the inter-parliamentary liaison between the states, and answered the questions concerning the activities of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
